Since Sadaam and Nebuchadnezzar have so much in common, I think it would be fitting for Sadaam to have this epitaph:

"...and those that walk in pride He is able to abase."
    Daniel 4:37b

Daniel 4:37? Hey, that's cheating Sue [IMG] A slight taking from context there [IMG]

(Daniel 4:37 KJV) Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Now without wishing to change/add to/subtract from/etc etc, lets imagine it applying to Saddam...."Now I Saddam praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase."

I pray that Saddam and those who helped arm him, and/or turned a blind eye to his atrocities will all come to same realisation.

Not out of context Pete. [IMG]

Nebuchadnezzar is stating that God is able to abase the man who walks in pride. The same holds true for Sadaam.

    Blessings,
    Sue

Saddam is an Atheist and DOES NOT belive in the "ONLY" TRUE AND LIVING GOD OF HEAVEN. He belives in Allah, a FALSE GOD!!!!! Oh yeah, even the media has said that Saddam is a very "PRIDEFUL MAN!"

    GOD BLESS AMERICA

Sue, but notice what Nebuchadnezzar said at the start of that verse? [IMG] I pray he will come to the same position as Nebuchadnezzar and "praise and extol and honour the King of heaven" [IMG]

christfollower55, I know Saddam does not believe in the True God [IMG] Re-read the post [IMG]

Great line Johnv [IMG] Only down-side is that it applies to every politician on the planet, so we would never know who is buried where [IMG]

Way down deep in this soil of sand,
lies Saddam Hussein, a proud proud man.
Ruled his country with a strong hard fist,
went to his glory in a cloud of mist.
Raised his sons with all his luster,
and met their maker under the same bunker buster.
Ka-boom it made a great big hollow,
said he, there ain't no virgins and there ain't no Allah.

[IMG] You guys are cracking me up! [IMG]

Yes, Pete. I know I committed a cardinal sin. I took a verse out of context and <groan> I only used the second part of it! You can stone me now... [IMG]

How about just a little tv inside the headstone with Saddam being replayed over and over saying "Don't believe them, I'm NOT dead!"

    Sue, sorry, I can't...I'm all out of rocks :( ;) :D

    But seriously folks...

Taking the first part of the verse with the second suggests that just maybe there could even be hope for ol' Saddam Insane [IMG] (If those 4 bombs dropped recently missed again that is...)

Somehow I have the feeling he will be killed several more times before the smoke clears over Iraq.
