I've read a few of their articles. I'd call them a center-right newspaper, a little more right than the Wall Street Journal used to be. Typically well written.
I’m suspicious of all media, & the ET has some regular contributors that are on the wrong side of my views, but overall their content examines all issues that you won’t find in any other media outlet. The originators were communist escapees, & are anti-communist, which is why they are denigrated by the lying left.
Even Wiki doesn’t refer to them as a cult………but Jon does.

I am not surprised thar Wikipedia does not refer to Falun Gong as a cult (they don't refer to Mormonism as a cult either....but JonC does).

I believe that these new age movements based on the spiritual practice in the Buddhist tradition (there are many) are in fact cults.
@Wingman68 does not believe Falun Gong a cult. This is a problem throughout our faith. Churches let in the enemy, offering "another way", because it is popular or they view it is benign.
But the type of "spiritual awakening" sought by aligning with the guiding principles of the universe (the Tao, or the Way) in Falun Gong is NOT compatible with Christianity.

In Falun Gong's central text, Li states that xinxing "includes virtue (which is a type of matter), it includes forbearance, it includes awakening to things, it includes giving up things—giving up all the desires and all the attachments that are found in an ordinary person—and you also have to endure hardship, to name just a few things."[41] The elevation of one's moral character is achieved, on the one hand, by aligning one's life with truth, compassion, and tolerance; and on the other, by abandoning desires and "negative thoughts and behaviors, such as greed, profit, lust, desire, killing, fighting, theft, robbery, deception, jealousy, etc."[42]

Is there a religious agenda here? Yes - Epoch Times is an apologetic for Falun Gong.
These articles were from Epoich Times, on their website. These are from the first 3 1/2 pages promoting and defending the cult. There are currently 292 pages (30 articles per page).
That's 8,760 articles. Don't worry, I'm not going to post them all here.
I just wanted to make a point.
Christians need to discern. A Christian has no business subscribing to the Epoch Times, the Mormon Times, The Watchtower....or to Playboy even if you just read the articles.

I certainly do not subscribe to the to Epoch Times because of this. But it being anti CCP.

On a serious note, I believe we have to be careful about what we support and what we allow in our lives.
The Mormon Times encourages conservative values, spending time with family, ect. I believe in those things. But I cannot support the Mormon Times.
Why? You are the one who criticized me for calling Falun Gong a cult in my response to Salty.
That isn't being snagged.
Either you believe Falun a cult or you don't.
If you do then you made a mistake in your post and should just say "oops my bad".
If you don't then stand by your post.
