This is a trip!

While I am a proud graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary (ie...before they dropped the Baptist) I have some real differences with President Ergun Caner on the issue of Calvinism. Dr Caner is a wonderful preacher and he has a wonderful testimony but, like the rest of us, he is human and can err. I am not a five point Calvinist. I find myself agreeing with four of the five points. So I do agree with Caner on the atonement issue. Either way this is funny stuff.

Dude, get out of town. How cool is that. That has to be one of the highest complements he could have ever received that he is important enough to make fun of... This will definately go to his head.

I find it sad (from either side) to stoop to disgraceful depicting of another Brother in Christ who differs with one on a view of the mechanics of the Truths we hold so dear and not the Immutable truths of scripture.

It is again, a sad display of defamation of someone for whom Christ died and by His grace made my Brother. It is a sad thing to do of one of our own.

And we wonder why the world says that Christians (most particularly Baptists) eat their own. Sad, sad...sad.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Bro. Smith. It's a great recognition of the stature of Dr. Caner that he has been parodied (or dolled  ).

==You take the cartoon way too seriously. However if you wish to discuss defamation we can talk about how Caner himself has defamed those who disagree with him. The quote, "Calvinists are worse than Muslims", is a direct quote from Dr Ergun Caner.

I know, one wrong turn diserves another. Eye for an eye - that kinda of thing.
And so I agian repeat -
I find it sad (from either side) to stoop to disgraceful depicting of another Brother in Christ who differs with one on a view of the mechanics of the Truths we hold so dear and not the Immutable truths of scripture.

It is again, a sad display of defamation of someone for whom Christ died and by His grace made my Brother. It is a sad thing to do of one of our own.

I agree with Allen. This sort of behavior is wrong . . . regardless of what sort of behavior Dr. Caner may exhibit towards those he disagrees with. He is in that case equally wrong.
