Evangelical Christianity Has Been Nearly Outlawed in Prison

Do you know where I can find the actual text of the judge's ruling instead of carefully selected quotes from the decision by an outraged Christian-oriented media?

The selections they quoted sound like they come from the initial section of the ruling that describes the situation instead of the actual opinion of the judge.

It reminds me of when David Barton claims, in his "America's Godly Heritage" video, that the Supreme Court says that prayer and Bible reading "caused brain damage." Instead of that being the Court's opinion, Barton took a section of previous expert testimony from a lower court regarding the forced reading of the New Testament by Jewish schoolchildren causing emotional trauma, ripped it out of all context, and rephrased the testimony from "trauma" to "brain damage" in order to villify the Supreme Court.

In fact any religion that can show it has been established for a length of time (I think 5 years) and has other followers, In other words can show it is a legitemate belief has access to the prisoners who want it. they actually can't stop "outlaw" christianity in prisons. freedom of religion is still a right even in prison, one of the few prisoners have. i know of an instance where they had to provide an upside down cross (or one meant for this purpose, they threatened to use the one the christians were using and the prison bought a new one just for them, to keep problems down i am sure) to a small group of satanists

 

Actualy a prisoner can believe in anything he/she wants. But religious services are a privlege. As long as the rules are the same accross the board the prison can denie religous services in full or just parts of them.

Some examples inmates in the highest levels of maximum security are allowed no religious service. Religons that want to sacrifice animals are not allowed to. There is a white supremist religion (Astru) that performs services with knifes, swords and hammers. They just have to pretend they have them.

Even though a prison can not allow religous services. It is by far in there best interest to allow as many religious services as security allowes. And they have to have a good reason to not allow the service. They could not ban evangical Christian services and allow Catholic services.

What is so miraculous and wonderful about being a true, born again, Christian is the fact that christianity may be outlawed in prison and someday in our country but we will always be free in our hearts.
Once Jesus comes to reside in your heart powers, nor prinicpalities, goverments, laws etc.. can move HIM out.
Personally I believe we have spent to much time,energy and money on trying to save american culture when we should have been spending more on leading people to Christ.
Paul didn't go around trying to reform Roman culture throughout the Roman Empire. No he boldy spread the Gospel whether he was in chains or free.
God never promised that our american culture would prevail , HE said the church would prevail. Personally a little pruning of the branches here in america would do us all some good.
We would find out just how serious guys like Benny Hinn and others really are if it meant prison for preaching. We would find out how many SEEKERS really are seeking if it meant death or prison for attending church .
IF anything all this ecumenical unity for the sake of saving our country has only weakened the voice of the church concerning the Gospel.
Big named preachers don't want to speak out against Roman Catholicism for example and it's heretical teachings because hey alot of good catholics are pro-life. Get my point. That is just one example.
They can burn our bibles, burn our churches, take away all our rights and give our land to the agnostics,atheists , homosexuals etc... but they cannot take Jesus out of our hearts. So let the chips fall. When it comes down to that kind of thing we will clearly see who is for HIM and who is against HIM .
