I showed the video of Brother Parchman preaching Daddy Did It! tonight for our evening service. It fit perfectly with the Father's Day theme.

The message I had on video was recorded at my home church, Park Meadows Baptist Church in Lincoln, Illinois a few years back.

    Pastor Bob,

I told Mrs. Ann you were doing this and it touched her heart. Just as you said in a previous post, it is one of his classics - probably his best known message.

Mrs. Ann just got back from Canada this past Monday. A church in New Brunswick flew her up there last week to speak. I haven't spoken to her since she got back.

I did speak to my mother the day before yesterday. She placed some fresh sod on Grandaddy's gravesite, put up a windchime and fixed it up a little better than it was. I will post some new photos when she sends them to me.

I have some photos that are about 1 month old here

I want to write my testimony and put on the website but haven't had the time to say what I want to say.

He gave me the greatest Christmas present this past Christmas - he stayed alive long enough for me to get to the hospital after life support was removed. He had been taking about 2 breaths per minute on his own prior to the disconnection. He stayed alive breathing on his own for a little over an hour afterwards - long enough for me to drive the 50+ miles to the hospital. I was able to speak to him for about 15 minutes. Of course he never opened his eyes or replied but as I spoke to him he had a couple of tears roll down his face. I wiped them away and told him it was okay to go. I was holding his hand as he took his last breath. The rest of the family had already said their goodbyes and were in the waiting room waiting for the word he had passed from this life into the presence of the Lord. I'm so glad my wife and I were there to be with him in his final moments. He was not alone.

    I sure do miss him.

    God bless you, brother.

Friend, I appreciate what you are saying about your grandfather. I feel a kinship to you, having myself had a great evangelist grandfather, John R. Rice. He died in 1980, the year before we came to Japan, and I still often think about him and miss him. It will be wonderful to see him again in Heaven someday.

Keep on doing whatever God leads you to do to uplift your grandfather's memory and ministry. You may be criticized, and there will certainly be enemies of your grandfather out there, since he stood for right and preached the gospel faithfully, but that doesn't matter. Keep on keeping on for Jesus!

    God bless.

I cannot get any of these links to work. They all say that the document does not exist.

They don't exist any longer as I removed them from the folder which made them available for the 'fathers day promotion'.

    go to http://jackparchman.com

or for downloads, here's the direct link http://jackparchman.com/downloads/audiovideodownloads.htm

use the password "baptist" for any Mp3 sermon or video messages, funeral, etc. you wish to download.

This password will be good through Monday 6-26

I highly recommend his funeral video. He would have been so proud. I've never been to a funeral like it.

Feedback is appreciated (if you watch or listen to anything).

Brother John - thank you for the uplifting message. It means a lot.

    God Bless you all,

    Chris

    Chris,
I am preaching at the Youth Conference in Benton in July. I hope to be able to see your grandmother while I'm there. I also hope that Brother Graham has a video of the funeral that I can watch. I heard that it was tremendous.

I am still on dial-up so it would take quite a while to download the funeral from the website.

    God Bless,
    Pastor Bob
