Evolution isn't science . . .

Evolution is....

an evolved idea that started with Darwin's theory of Natural Selection. On a micro level evolution is what occurs within the species for greater survival. However, Macro level evolution has not been proven yet. Though the Dover school district in Pennsylvania might believe it is.

Science is....... Discovered evidence of how the universe works through observation and applied knowledge.

Evolution is......... A biased view of the universe without a creator God.

>Evolution is......... A biased view of the universe without a creator God.

Non sequitur.

Further, God isn't smart enough to create a universe that can exist without micro management?

How is it that you can state that my response is not related to the subject at hand?

Further, God is Great enough to be able to micro manage all that is in motion in the universe He created. If He didn't it would not exist. :godisgood:

OK, I probably used the wrong logical fallacy to describe the above combination of thoughts to describe science and evolution. It's like saying a tree has green leaves and a mountain is large. They may each be true but don't compute when combined.

Besides, evolution uses observation and applied knowledge to discover evidence of how the universe works. If not, then YECs who get flu shots think the serum is produced by witchcraft?

Science is knowledge based on observation; evolution is not.

Did you observe the big bang take place? Do you know who did?

Have you observed "half-ape--half-man" or any of the other inter-special animals that evolution claims took place? Do you know who has?

Why don't we witness these inter-special animals today?

What did you say about evolution? Did you mention observation?

Observation belongs to science, not evolution.

But I think what they observe is interpreted through the belief system of evolution. The more I know about it, the more I think evolution is a secular type of religion.

Theistic evolution harmonizes biblical history with science to establish the order of the animal world including global developments not covered fully by scripture. It is not secular and it is not a religion. It has nothing to do with a "belief" system as does another religion.

Being a theistic evolutionist has not affected my evangelical Christian faith, knowledge or preaching one iota.

Jim

Those that believe in evolution have no proof only faith in what they believe to be true. It has become their religion.

If it was not for agendas to undermine Bible belief, the theory of Evolution would have been abandoned 20 or 30 years ago due to the evidence.

The current efforts to
1) promote Evolution as an established fact,
2) stifle scientific doubting of Evolution, and
3) keep people from knowing the problems of evidence Evolution faces,
are based on religious agendas. If it was just about science, the theory would have been simply abandoned because it does not pass scientific muster.

A simple definition of evolution is: "gradual development from a simple to a more complex form."

Yes there is substantial evidence of development in both earth and animal forms. What does the Bible have to say about North America?

One would have to be blind to deny this. Just study geologic formations on this continent alone.

Cheers,

Jim

NO (scream, shout), this social Darwinism. Nothing in the study of evolution demands increased complexity. Which critter is better adapted (evolved) to its environment? Humans or cockroaches? Cockroaches have been around millions of years longer than humans. If YECs are correct, cockroaches are still a day older than humans. Humans would have to out last cockroaches by a day to conclude that humans are more evolved.

Does theistic evoluton acknowledge Adam and Eve as literal?

In theistic evolution, is there death before sin?

Evolutions is.....

scientists making monkeys out of themselves.

I must add that I am impressed with the faith they possess in believing their theories. If God's people had that faith we would move mountains.
