Yea, complicated system to make Daniel say 8 when he really says 4.
You must be using the Lahaye Prophecy Study Bible.

DeMar calls this "newspaper exegisis". You must be young, because this has been going on for decades and they continue to be wrong.
The difference in your doctrine and mine is that you read/believed the books and opinion of all of the "MEN" above,
And I read only the KJ with the "SPIRIT" to teach me.
Christian book stores would be bankrupt if they "depended" on my business.
And the world would be closer to one mind, one accord, if they "depended" more on God, than on other books/men.
I've been retired 4 years.

The 8 kingdoms of Daniel and a Revived Roman Empire didn't come by the Spirit. The 8 kingdoms perhaps did come from you(a man) but the Revived Roman Empire is a dispie invention from way back. Either way you have yet to show either in scripture.
You seem proud of your lack of study. Yet much of what you say comes straight out of the Hal Lindsey playbook.
Then you should have plenty of time ,to show in scripture ,where the Antichrist makes a treaty with the Arabs and Israel.
Also show me how the "spirit" leads you to interpret this verse:
Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
Evidently you don't know much about the one world government/European union/the Federal Reserve/Bank of international Settlement/or unable to buy/sell without their mark.
Is there a reason you don't use scripture?
Jesus condemned those of his day for not being able to read the "signs of the times".
So give us all a time-frame since you claim to know the times.
I read his book when it first came out, back in the 60-70's, but none since.
I would suggest you could profit much from the works of others.
Da 11:23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully:
Why would anyone assume this is speaking of anything other than the time of Antiochus? Unless of course one ignores history and scholarship.
These men seem to be in one accord:
And the world would be closer to one mind, one accord, if they "depended" more on God, than on other books/men.
Were these commentators not depending on God?

Dan 11:23 And after (x) the league [made] with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a (y) small people.
(x) For after the battle, Philometor and his uncle Antiochus made a league.
(y) For he came upon him by surprise, and when he did not suspect his uncle Antiochus at all.
John Gill
Dan 11:23 And after the league made with him,.... The prince of the covenant; either Demetrius his nephew, or Ptolemy Philometor king of Egypt, with whom a league was made in the lifetime of Cleopatra, the sister of Antiochus, and mother of Ptolemy:
Adam Clarke
Dan 11:23
He shall come up - From Rome, where he had been a hostage for the payment of the tax laid on his father.
Shall become strong with a small people - At first he had but few to espouse his cause when he arrived at Antioch, the people having been greatly divided by the many claimants of the crown; but being supported by Eumenes and Attalus, his few people increased, and he became strong.
Albert Barnes
Dan 11:23
And after the league made with him - A treaty of peace and concord. The great subject of contention between the kings of Syria and Egypt was the possession of Coelo-Syria and Palestine. This they often endeavored to settle by conquest as each of them claimed that in the original partition of the empire of Alexander this portion of the empire fell to himself; and often they endeavored to settle it by treaty. Consequently this region was constantly passing from one to the other, and was also the seat of frequent wars. The "league" here referred to seems to have been that respecting this country - file successive promises which had been made to the king of Egypt that Coelo-Syria and Palestine should be made over to him. These provinces had been secured to Ptolemy Lagus by the treaty made 301 b.c., and they had been again pledged by Antiochus the Great, in dowry, when his daughter Cleopatra should be made queen of Egypt. - Jahn, "Heb. Commonwealth," p. 260. Antiochus Epiphanes, however, was by no means disposed to confirm this grant, and hence, the wars in which he was involved with the Egyptians.
The AC promises to protect Israel if they'll make a "peace treaty" with Arabs.
Isa 28:18 And your covenant (league) with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
Do you just pull scriptures out of thin air and then build your private eschatology around them? Where is AC or Arabs mentioned?
If you don't know this, you're trying to debates things that are way over your head, need to study more.
Either I'm in over my head or you just make it up as you go. It seems you look at the newspaper then find scriptures that fit what you think is happening. Are you sure you don't watch Jack Van Impe?
People are cleaning the land preparing for the MK.
So they will dispose of the Russian weapons: tanks, missles, missle lauchers, jeeps, airplanes, bombs etc..by destroying with fire??? For 7 years???
I'd like some who don't believe in the MK to explain why the land is cleaned if the GWT Judgment takes place at this time then the entire planet is "Burned".
They are probably busy trying to figure out how you destroy moden weapons of war with fire.
Is there a reason you don't use scripture?
Yep, I don't feel like posting 1/3-1/2 of the Bible.

You're in over your head, way over.
The AC is a strong delusion God sents, Jews/the world believe he is the "Messiah", the "man of peace", riding his white horse, mainly because he makes peace (treaty) between Israel and her enemies.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
Joh 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not:
(as being the Messiah)
if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
(as being the Messiah)
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
(AC)
Re 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Jesus
Re 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,

Do you have any idea how "plows" are made, with "FIRE".
Isa 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Have you ever heard of "RECYCLING"???
Doesn't Latter/Last mean after the former days.
Funny, that you name 12 when scripture said there were only seven.
1. Egypt, the Pharaods.
2. Assyrian, Sennacherib.
3. Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream begins here,
Daniel 2 38, Thou art this head of gold.
4. Medo-Persian, Cyrus, Darius, Daniel 2 39, And after thee shall arise
another kingdom inferior to thee.
5. Greek, Alexander The Great. another third kingdom of brass,
which shall rule all the earth.
6. Roman Empire, Daniel 2 40, And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron.
7, Revived Roman Empire.
Daniel 2 42, And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay.
8. Antichrist.
Revelation 17 11, And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
No. This is in prophecy, and we are not in the dispensation of prophecy, or the law. Jesus said until John was the Law and Prophecy. Jesus fulfilled prophecy of Himself, but Prophecy stopped there.Has Ezekiel 38 been fulfilled or is this the future of Israel? If it was fulfilled please show where in scripture you believe it was.

You've already admitted/shown your doctrine came from other men and the books they've published,
I said mine came from the KJ Bible with the spirit teaching,
We'll let it go at that. :wavey:

Yea, I guess that easier than finding 8 Kingdoms in Daniel. Thats the problem with private interpretation and lack of study, when someone asks you to prove your theories from scripture it's about that time you take your ball and go home.
I wonder if you go to church and listen to a pastor? No, thats just a man and his opinions.
Of course, one has to use other books for the question "Has it happened yet?". I've been using the newspaper(s) for the 2009minus1952 = 57 years that I've been a Christian. Some of the earlier parts of that period are now in the History books.
I have a grandson, will be a Senior in high school when school starts in August, living with me. I checked out his USA History book. A full third ofthe book is about things NOT in the history book I had in High School (basically everything since Eisenhour got elected in 1952 -- I.E. the same 57 years I've been a Christian)
I'm even reading THE STORY OF THE EARTH which tells about the last 1.6 Billion years of Earth History in stone. Did you know there is a place in Oklahoma where the oil containing shale from which the oil is being mined from under 48,000 feet of sediment? How did those shell leftovers get way down 7 miles under the surface in the earth? Why does it take God a billion years to make oil and people will use it all up in 100 years? How fair is that?
Anyway, my eschatology and politics both came from the Holy Bibles, including the King James Versions (KJVs).
Brother Me4Him:
The http://energy.usgs.gov/ estimates the USA has the largest oil reserves in the world, one field supplying all our present needs for the next 41 years, //
In this context who is 'our' - the whole world or the USofA?
Anyway, until we see Ezekiel 38 as one future invasion of Israel and Ezekiel 39 as a second future invasion of Israel -- we will always miss the point.
Exercises for the student:
set down Ezekiel 38 & 39 and note the differences:
The big one is a host of allies in Ezekiel 38, allies not mentioned in Ezekiel 39.
Compare Revelation 20 (or so) Gog & Magog invasion with both. Looks to me like it is more like the same as Ezekiel 39 than 38.
