Well the Paddlin Perch are the class of the league! One week in - and to show my great drafting skills - I forgot that we were drafting and Yahoo did it for me - wish my other drafts went as well!

Great fun - and I have a nice trade pending with the reformers!

good luck all (who else on the BB is playing in the league?

I am playing in the league also(Going Deep Shelties). It will probably be a tight race for the four playoff spots over these 15 weeks.

    Good luck to everyone involved.

I'm in the league too. (The Reformers)
I have never played fantasy football before, but I have to say I am enjoying it!

I didn't show up for the draft either. I guess things worked out all right.

One question for those of you who have played before.

Is it better to put a RB or a WR in W/R spot? I would think an actuall WR would get more points, but then again there are some RB who recieve alot too.

depends on the week and who you have. typically RBs get consistent points, but some weeks a receiver can really take off. Never sit marvin harrison if you have him - but if it is a decision between keeshawn johnson or ahman green I would look to see who they are playing and most often play green

Thanks that helps a bit. I have a decision between Carnell Williams (RB) and A. Leile (wr). I think I will start Williams, since Gruden is saying they will pass to him more this next game.

One more question are there some websites that can help with who to play and who to sit each week?

they usually charge - not worth it in a free league with no prize $$

Best at this point is to play and have fun and learn for next year

    ps

I would also start the caddilac

Yeah but I am very competitive and want to win this year. I certainly will not pay for info from a web site though.

I feel like I have a pretty good team, again I wasn't around for the draft so I had to take what Yahoo gave me. Some how I ended up with four decent RBs (the one of wich is in the pending trade).

Oh and for the record - to be truley entertained by yahoo - go ahead and subscribe to game tracker. I spend more time on sundays in front of the computer "watching" the games on game tracker than I do in front of my tv! It is great when they tell you a team is in the redzone and you can see how the plays progress

I "watch" games sometimes at www.nfl.com with something similar that gives stats, play by play, and has a football field graphic. It's free.

How about them Perch! - looks like a 2-0 start. I'm up by 4 with Julius Jones and Roy Williams - the dallas safety to go. He's got Jason Whitten - who could have a great game.

One question - how can you watch the NFL and not play fantasy football? Even meaningless games have meaning if you have one of thier players!

Man this week was so frustrating. I have guys on my team that were expected to put up good stats and they flopped on me! What rotten luck is that! I hope I win some time this season!

I have a qb dilema. Tom Brady doesn't typically put up good numbers against Pittsburgh, but he has been decent the past two weeks.

Brian Griese has also looked decent and could do well against the Packers horrible secondary.

Who should I start? Every website I have looked at said both are a good start except SI.com which said that Brady probably won't do to well.

Anybody want to help a rookie fantasy manager out?

I would go with Brady - he is a better qb with better receivers and coming off a loss, pitt may force him to throw more if they stop the running game.

Griese is more of a manager - I would never start him ahead of brady. That is not to say that he wont have the occasional week that he is better, but your odds of brady being better are greater.

    good luck this week!

    Thanks that helps.

I also had to decide to bench Correy Dillion or not since his running has been bad, and he probably will not do much against the Steelers. I started Carnell Williams as my RB instead, and put Billy Engram in as a W/R where the Cadillac used to be. My projected points didn't change that much with that move so I should still be in good shape.
