Crown of thorns? Hip panel featuring religious art. Bare feet, bare shoulders. Bloody face mask? Very fashion forward!

Oops, trouble for fashion boy and his professors?

"Blasphemous!", it was an "egregious event" — BJU President Steve Pettit all atwitter after finding out about it:

    https://twitter.com/BJUPresident/status/1481394538455478277

"Jan. 12, 2022, STATEMENT FROM DR. STEVE PETTIT AND THE BJU BOARD OF TRUSTEES"

"we want to ensure BJU family and friends that this will not happen again"

There are "philosophical issues with the clothing designs", "No wonder so many cried out against what they saw on social media. Worst of all, this dishonored the Lord Jesus Christ", "there was a breakdown in the policies", "we are grieved as leaders and humbly confess this offense to the Lord",

"Our administrative and academic leadership, along with our art + design faculty, have taken full responsibility to correct these problems and are making significant changes within the program itself."

Frankly, I consider it “much ado about nothing.”

When the arts are in performance mode, the general university rules are typically modified. Length of hair, facial hair, touching or closeness to the point of kissing, men wearing what others may consider what is women wear, and even certain speech allowances are made.

iseeno specific information that should leave some alumni uncomfortable, but sometimes folks reactionary focus causes a bit of tunnel vision.

Well I heard that Bob Jones himself, took a wad of synthetic hair and pasted in on his head. It's at the 9 minute mark.

Many equate fashion design with lewd, valueless sexuality. They should be more concerned with the pre-fashion parade look of the hallway with obvious nod to the homosexual crowd. But many also equate the "theater" with such lewd, valueless sexuality, so there may be consistency.

I don't have an issue with play, costumes, and modesty personally. Been a couple years since I was seen kissing on a stage. Actually, more than 50 years!
