Father's Day Prayer

Lord, we thank you for our fathers, men who have taken on the incredible task of following in Your footsteps.

As fathers, you are our teacher. We know that you lead us, care for us, and shepherd us. As a Father, you instruct us, discipline us, correct us and restrain us.
We learn what it means to be a father best by knowing You.

Father, in these days when the pull of the world and the push of the enemy to compromise even on the small things of living life seems overwhelming; I pray that You will give our fathers strength to be examples of godly character and integrity.

Help us to be strong and faithful, fortified against temptation.
Help us to be defenders and guardians of all that is true and good.
Help us lead our families guided by your wisdom and gentleness.

Bless our fathers Lord as we endeavor to live lives that bring you glory and honor. Amen
