What is your favorite OT set and NT set of commentaries and why? Asking because people have asked about this and recommended works.

For starters, I love the New International Commentary on the Old and New Testaments (Eerdmans). Solid all the way around. Just incomplete. Can't wait for all the volumes to come out.

Dr.John Gills Commentary An Exposition Of The Old and New Testament. Dr. Gill in my opinion is the best and his writings are also online if anyone wants to read and study it. Dr. Gill is great for reference and sound doctrine. His Body Of Divinity is for those who want the meat of doctrinal exploration and it is deep reading not for the novice but for biblical doctrinal scholars!... Brother Glen [IMG]
