If you could sit under the ministry of any preacher alive today - who would it be? (Preachers you cannot list yourself!!)

Me - John MacArthur - with David Jeremiah a close second.

By far, and above all, Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

    Cheers,

For preaching, I have loved the few times that I've listened to E.V. Hill. I don't know what "EV" stands for, and I don't know which church he affiliates with, but he always preached a bible-based message.

My Pastor first and Foremost, Brother Randy Saunchegraw. Pastor of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church Loganville, Ga.

Dr. Sammy Allen. Concord Missionary Baptist Church. Moderator and Principal of Faith Baptist Camp and College, Resaca, Ga.

Brother Stinnett Ballew. Vice Principal of Faith Baptist College. Most missionary inclined and informed preacher I know.

If your pastor isn't your favorite preacher something is wrong, not with him, but with you.

I appreciate those who have expressed their pastor as their favorite.

    In Christ,

    Brother Ricky

    I say A-MEN!

I just heard Brother Ball, Dr. Allen and Brother Willis at the Pleasantview Campmeeting last week. Best campmeeting I've been to in a long time!

    "Encouraging!"

You weren't there by chance were you?

Don't know that I'd want to be a member of his church, but I enjoy listening to Erwin Lutzer on Songs in the Night. That is a very well done program.

Without a doubt, Dr Larry Gilmore, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church for the past 27 years. He just left us to take a position with the TBC. Our loss [IMG] is the TBCs gain [IMG]

The Late Edward V. Hill was pastor of a large Baptist church in L.A. He was a fundamentalist Baptist, and preached in Falwell's church many times. He died about a year ago, I believe.

Alistair Begg is my favorite. He's the best preacher alive today. He's a combination of Chuck Swindoll and Martyn Lloyd Jones. That ought to intrigue you enough to hear this Scotsman!

    Hear him at www.truthforlife.org

His church (Parkside Church, Cleveland, OH) is the sweetest, most God-glorifying fellowship I've ever worshipped with.

My pastor, Brother Ronnie Stinson, pastor of Trace Creek Baptist Church, Mayfield, KY, is the hillbilly Spurgeon. A sharecropper's son, saved in VBS, he came to Trace (at 20) when it was a tiny, contentious, typical traditional Baptist church, over 31 years ago. We now have a huge campus (paid for), and run around 1,000 on Sunday mornings, (and what is more amazing, 600+ on Sunday night and Wednesdays). Bro. Ronnie preaches verse by verse, expository style, with fire and vigor, kind of a cross between John MacArthur and "Taz." God has greatly blessed his ministry--he is well into preaching through the NT for the second time--and the long revival continues.

    I'd be torn between--

    Adrian Rogers and
    Jerry Vines

These are the top two on my list of Southern Baptist heroes!

First and foremost I would like to hear Jesus preach. After that it would be a toss up between my Pastor, S.M. Davis and my son, Pastor_Bob.

We love Bro. Bishop at our church here in TX. Our children are at his camp in Rosebud, AR this week. Top notch! [IMG]

My overall favorite preacher other than my own pastor is Dr. Ron Gearis, president of Rock of Ages Prison Ministry in Cleveland, TN. He preaches the Truth straight down the line, but he is one of the most humble men I've ever met.
