Could you please take a look at the new site I designed for my church, and provide some feedback. It is verymuch a work in progress, and I know I need some visiuals not just text. I am working on that.

    The url is rugb.minihost.org

Any feedback you have can be left here, or emailed to webmaster@rugb.minihost.org.

    Thanks.....Bill

Great start and looks pretty sharp IMO.

Will list items you may or may not know about or not care about - this is using firefox:

    1. On the front page Rockford address line is partially cut off by the bottom window area.

    2. The menu on the left side does not completely show if you have your window only half way open as I do when I use my tv window above. GOTTA have my tv even if it is on mute so I don' t have to listen to it.

    3. Buy some coffee, yer gunna be up late doing all that construction

    4. Like your reasons for Sunday school.

    5. You might consider making your font in the information window smaller, it is kind of overwhelming IMO.

    6. A link to the Baptist group you are with would be good - if you still agree with them :tongue3:

    8. (seven is one I was going to put down but forgot it before I got back to this.

    9. Some graphics will assist when you get there. The sharper - eye catching your graphic is the better.

    Going great!

Good start! I agree with above post about the size of fonts - somewhat smaller would be better. Some graphics would be good too (but not too many).

If you would, let me know what you think of ours...

I use firefox and can see the entire address, phone number below the address, and the Pastor's name at the bottom. Any idea why I see eveything and it is cut off for you?

Other than having to scroll down, the menu appears for me.

I ALWAYS have lots of coffee available.

Thanks but they are not mine. They are part of our visitors pack.

You are the second person to tell me that. I will reduce it when I update.

I had already planned on it. Two pages I have only thought about and not even put under construction yet are a links and a contacts page.

We all have our Senior moments.

I am in total agreement. Thanks for the feedback. What does everyone else have for me?

    Hey, Bill,

I'm on firefox too, and it cuts of the bottom of the banner. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I'm using firefox 2, maybe it is the version??

Other than that I have no idea why it wouldn't work.

Ok I reduced font sizes accross the board, including the top banner. Is the entire address and pastor's name showing for everyone.

I like your site. Its nice and clean, easy to move around. Looks like you used the same basic layout as I did. I really like the sermon outlines being posted.

It's probably from the top frame being a fixed size.

Running firefox at 1280x768 resolution, it doesn't cut off, but restoring the window to a smaller size it does. What's happening is the title text is breaking, which is pushing the address down beyond the height of the top frame.

You could fix it by reducing the font size for the title or replacing the title and address with an image (which won't wrap and will look the same on all computers).

Anyway, looks good, and with a few changes like those mentioned above, it will look even better.

Intresting I have never seen a frame do that before. It only does it in firefox. If you look at it in IE then the top frame simply gets longer and everything continues to show.

    Bill,

The new text size seems to have fixed the top banner. Great improvements.

Did you come up with the 10 reasons for SS? They're real good!

Looks like a good start! Easy to navigate. I am using an older Mac, browser is Navigator 7, and everything works fine.

You might want to check your spelling of "calendar" - both on the side menu, and the bottom one.

I copied the Sunday School reasons, will come in handy someday!
