Ok, this might sound simple, and it might be simple, but I have question.

How do I find out where a word or a "thought" is located in the Bible.

I would like to do some research on topics, and for example.. Drinking, Wine, or Drunkeness. If I wanted to research these topics, how do I find out every time it's mentioned in the Bible?

Do you all know of a great search feature online? Is there a book that will help?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Oooh, I love http://www.biblegateway.com/.

You can look up passages, specific words, or topics.

There are commentaries and you can use virtually any translation you choose, even foreign language versions.

It's a SUPER tool for anyone who studies the bible.

    I use biblegateway, too!

For something hard copy (an actual book! :tongue3: ), there is Young's Analytical Concordance that has a topical index.

There is also the Thompson-Chain Bible which has keywords in the margins and in the back that give lists and references.

For what you're doing you may want to use a topical bible. I use Naves.

www.e-sword.net has a good search feature. Click on the little binoculars, and it will pull up every verse with the word(s) you want to search...all free!
