Had to reinstall my theme (Bible Fox), but working great. Already seeing a difference in load speeds.

I think it is much faster. This board and hotmail had been hanging forever it seemed for quite awhile, but this version seems to eliminate that

I got it working by renaming the \Mozilla Firefox directory to something else and reinstalling. However, I lost my passwords and the only thing it will import from is IE. It looks like it's faster, but I'm not happy about losing a half hour trying to get it running again and who knows how much time visiting my sites and getting my passwords back in. Not happy about this at all.

Bummer! Don't you just love new stuff - uh well no you don't :tear:

File/import and one of the options is import from netscape and mozilla - did you try that.

I like new stuff when it works.

With that, let me tell you about 1 new feature of Firefox 3 that I discovered that I absolutely love. I had to close Firefox in order to install the Macromedia Player and when I closed it, Firefox asked me if I wanted to save my current tabs or not. Since I had 6 open at that time, I happily chose save. When I restarted, those 6 tabs were opened back up when I fired up FF3 again.

Excellent feature.

So far, so good on Linux...and AdBlock is working fine.

Hmm, is it part of the package or an extension? It did not take my old adblock, and when I searched I could not find the new one. I have not put 3.0 on this computer yet, and haven't had a lot of time to mess with the one I have. i only noticed it because the BB ads are showing up.

Two questions...

1. Do any of you have a way to keep your fox bookmarks and IE bookmarks the same? I hate having different bookmarks in each browser.

2. Is there a good IE add on? The one I have doesn't seem to render many pages correctly so I end up switching back to IE to get the page to work. My Credit union and credit card site are both like this.

A few extensions none should be without...

Nightly Tester Tools - a handy extension that can force compatibility onto those extensions you love, but have not been updated for FF3.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6543

Fasterfox - think for Fasterfox as a turbo-charger for Firefox. ;)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1269

NoScript - The best security extension ever. Yes, it can be a pain to give a site permission to run scripts (Java, Flash, whatever), but none of it does until you say it can. Keeps all those pesky flash ads at bay, as well as keeps malicious scripts from running.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722

Flashblock - the other half of the one-two ad punch. Adblock stops a lot of ads, and NoScript stops script. Flashblock stops all Flash/Shockwave until you click the arrow on each instance for it to play. I don't see any ads when I surf. :D

Export your bookmarks in one and import them in the other. Firefox makes that easy (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import and Backup > choose Import HTML or Export HTML).

Have you tried IE Tab? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 It works great for me.

Been using 3.0 for two days now with no problems, and it does seem to load much faster. The BB is one of the pages that you can really tell a difference in how lone it takes to load.

When I installed 3.0 I did get a message that some of my extensions were not compatible with 3.0 and had to be disabled. It was only a couple of them.
