Did the UK fund this research, upfront? Didn’t USA (TR:MP) give Pfizer a couple billion dollars and streamline the process?

We paid for it, Americans should get it first.

peace to you

you are very right. sadly money talks, and our government has made a deal with Pfizer. We have our own vaccine from Oxford and Cambridge, due soon.

wow! was it scary? hope you are ok now
I’m fine. I was never very sick. Like a summer cold. I was exposed at a training session for work. Everyone there tested positive.

Scary? Not so much because I never got very sick, but I was concerned it could have gotten worse.

I guess I was part of the 99.9% that recover without serious complications.

peace to you

I’ve heard those stories.

What is a vaccine? Usually dead virus injected into you so your body recognizes the virus and produces antibodies to fight it. Once the body produces antibodies, it “knows” how to fight the virus if you are exposed again.

All vaccines have a small % of people who simply don’t produce antibodies as expected and can get sick again.

This vaccine uses messenger RNA to code the genetics of your body to develop the necessary means to fight the virus and develop antibodies.

OK, amazing what science can do.

Ooo, maybe we could program the messenger RNA to grow all my hair back?

peace to you
