Fixing Firefox's "memory leak"

Those of us who have used Firefox for a while have run into it... After surfing for a while, things start to slow... down... a... lot as your computer's RAM seems to slowly dwindle away and vanish. People have griped and complained about this, and new things have come to light.

The first is that the "memory leak" is not really a leak at all. It is Firefox "remembering" where you've been in detail so it can reload the page faster if and when you hit the back button.

If you're like me, you probably have multiple tabs open at any given time, which means that FF is "remembering" for each and every one of them. And it can add up.

Anyway, I came across tis article which explains this, and tells how to fix it. The fix is super-simple, and takes like a minute or so (most of that time is scrolling down to find the setting you change). The article also tells yu a few things to alter (while you're there) to give Firefox a little more pep while you surf.

All in all, a good read, and only one page to boot.
