    **World Exclusive**
    **Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal... Developing...

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats. This source, an ally of Edmund, also adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund.

    Source: http://www.drudgereport.com/page.htm

So the page pretended to be interested in Foley, and he knowingly sent inappropriate messages back to this page. It still doesn't put Foley in the clear, wether he was tricked or not, he still was sending inapropriate messages to this page.

I'm not shocked, the liberal hetorosexual politicians hit on the young ladies in D.C., it makes sens that the liberal homosexuals like Foley would hit on the young men. :(

I dont think anything in the article puts anybody in the clear, but it certainly exposes the Democratic operatives and their intent. And neither should be ignored.

The exposure of this isnt about the safety of the pages it is about the political ambitions of the left. The left smelt blood in the water and insited that Hastert and others knew about this for years.

I wouldn't be shocked if we found out that Foley has been hitting on the male pages for many years. That could be why the page played the prank on him.

We already know he is a pervert simply by the fact that he is a homosexual. This may have come to surface simply because the Dems are seeking something to make the news during the election year, but it doesn't change the fact that it has lead to one less liberal RINO in Washington.

It will be more than the dems simply seeking something to make the news during the election year, the timing is curious. They dont want to chance how the actual elections may come out they want to win by default if necessary. And quite frankly Foley only exposes more liberals. He just cleared the way for a actual conservative to take the seat.

Isnt this page of legal age both now and then?

As far as the democratic operatives who released the story the bigger question is who knew what when and how long?:BangHead:

To the credit of what? A moral republican party. Please, give me a break. On November 8, it will dawn on you that Foley, a republican, handed Congress over to the democrats to the detrament of this country. And quite frankly, the republicans deserve to lose, it is just not a solution to put democrats in power.

Republicans have had the Congress for twelve years and the White House for 6 years. The number one function of the federal government is to protect the integrity of our borders, which they failed miserably to do. It is also the hallmark of the republican party to balance budgets. No comment needed.

I agree with you on the last two points. But Foley is not a factor for the repubs in this election.

Matt Drudge has had some misses over the past decade but for the most part he has done quite well. Of course 99% of what is posted on his website is simply news stories from other websites.

But if this does turn out to be a prank gone awry it will explode big time in the Democratic Party's face.

Er, it was the hallmark of republicans to balance the budget. As Foley, Iraq, the budget, and endless other examples show, the republicans have become the democrats.

Yeah, but the two branches in our one party system still go by separate names.

That is the perfect quote for our Political system as it is. Both parties are corrupt and neither of them worth anything.

It's PAST TIME for a third party to be elected, instead of business as usual.

Even if this IM is a prank, Foley was obviously involved in unsavory (and perhaps illegal) shenanigans. IMHO, we are better off without him in office.

IMHO we'd be better off with quite a few more politicians out of office.

Why? If they fell for it, so did the Republicans.

Yeah, but the Democrats have been trying to make political hay out of this for the November election. As I recently told a friend, the Democrats are rapidly replacing the Republicans as the stupid party when it comes to blowing electoral opportunities.
