What about the "other religions" forum? Where did that one go?

We had a complaint about the name sounding 'non Christian' so I suggested we rename it 'Other Christian Denominations' and webmaster agreed. It's still here!

I wonder about the message at the top of the 'Other Christian Denominations' forum. If it's a Christian forum, why's it necessary? Maybe put it someplace else, like in the 'Baptist Only' area. [IMG]

Just a personal opinion, but based on some of the threads I have read down there as of late, I think the original title of the forum was more accurate.

I like the name "Other Religions" for that forum better than "Other Christian Denominations" since other religions are often discussed, including cults.

Also, I am wondering why Oneness followers are allowed to post in the non-Baptist Christian forums when people like Mormons aren't? Oneness theology was declared a heresy in the 3rd century. It is not a part of Christianity at all.

I noticed after today's update when I go to "my profile" and do a search for recent posts, I get the following message:

    No recent posts were found.

Must have been a cache glitch because I can view every post you've ever made. [IMG]

erm, it's kinda confusing and messy, like deciphering which thread is a games one and which is a dicussion one.

    Just my feedback. THanks! [IMG]

"Discussion topics" is not the issue. We can "discuss" about anything, anywhere!

It is who can be invovled. "Other Religions" implied cults, hindu, etc all equally. We do not allow such to participate. YOU MUST BE A "christian" TO POST.

"Other Christian . . " gives our guidelines. A person who is LDS or hindu etc are NOT CHRISTIAN and cannot post. We do not want them posting on the BB and ruining threads with cultic/false religion arguments. We've seen that and it will not be allowed.

But Dr. Bob, Oneness people are allowed to post there; so are they considered "other" Christians by the BB? If so, I am very surprised since denying and attacking the Trinity as they do is a serious heresy. I and most Christians do not consider Oneness a Christian or Biblical doctrine.

a discussions topic gets booted off the page within one day because of the high post rate of games topics.

Soon no one will post for all other discussions. :(

Oh and Dr. Bob, whilst that may be true (we can discuss anything anywhere), it is kinda hard to start a topic that's not within the parameters of the forum titles. Good examples would be those topics that were started by members under all discussions. Coz there was no where else to fit it.

Marcia, when people apply for membership and use Christian as their denomination, we pretty much have to take their word for it. I've never seen 'oneness' listed as a denomination when approving new members. People can change their profile after joining.....
