After years, I just began reading this again. The book is based on the Ten Commandments as a template for renewing our society (if that is possible this late in the game).

The Introduction, "The Problem of Our Time," describes clearly what we face today. (But this was published two years before I was born!) "Many of the ties to our spiritual heritage are now so weak that we might break them without knowing that we had done so."
""...the problem of moral re-construction is the primary problem."

Trueblood notes that "our own system is such that active individuals and groups can be truly effective..." And so they are. The most effective in our day has been the persevering activity of those pushing the homosexual agenda.

Our failure to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world now bears terrible consequences.

Over a half century ago, Trueblood warned that we were a "cut-flower" society. Like beautiful flowers placed in a vase, we would shrivel and fade as we no longer had roots.

The need for this book is evident in the title of Chapter Two, "The Necessity of Intolerance."

You can easily find used copies of this book through bookfinder.com
