Friends of Hillary hint she may pull out of presidential race

    Sarah Baxter

[IMG]Friends of Hillary Clinton have been whispering the unthinkable. Despite her status as the runaway frontrunner for the 2008 Democratic nomination for president, some of her closest advisers say she might opt out of the White House race and seek to lead her party in the Senate.

That seems like a sound career move. Well, that really isn't a move as that's where she is already...

This is what I've been saying for over a year now.

“The prospect of a Hillary for President campaign has put much of the Democratic establishment in a bind,” Time concluded. “The early line is that Hillary would be unstoppable in a Democratic primary but unelectable in a general election.”

She supports abortion. That alone makes her not fit for office. Because ...you know...murder isnt a good thing.

PS. I didnt get that from Rush Limbaugh.

I hope that is true. I don't think that there should ever be a woman president. But if there ever is one then I pray that it will NOT be Hillary Clinton.
    My opinion

She would be crippled by the implacable opposition to her (as demonstrated by the post just above this one).

Not unlike what Bush deals with on a daily basis.
Hillary would have one advantage in that respect - The European press would likely love her, same as they did Bill. She speaks their language.

    Why not?

I would have no problem with voting for a woman for president - just not Senator Clinton.

I would have no problem voting for Hillary Clinton, if she should run for president.

Truth must hurt an awful lot . . .

Now if she is crippled, you can blame the opposition and not her . . . intriguing.

Nope - you got that from God! And the evil murder she supports is just that - evil murder.

God will judge us if we do not repent of our evil ways; and if we repent and can not stop the evil ways of our neighbors - I pray that He judges them and blesses us . . .

I understand this is opinion, but I find it amazing that anyone can think this way in 21st Century America. Replace the word "woman" with black and see how it sounds.

Women have proven themselves to be capable leaders. The guys have had a monopoly for too long. People like Margaret Thatcher and Golda Meir have led nations very ably. There is nothing wrong with a female being President of the US, as long as she passes the Constitutional mandates of minimum age 35 and a natural born citizen. There is no gender test listed. To deny leadership to someone who represents the gender of over half our citizens is wrong. To deny leadership to someone based on gender means we all lose, and speaks volumes about how far we have yet to go.

So why play the race card?

Are there latent issues underneath the surface of your comment?

This is the 21st century and your beginning your dialogue with race diminishes the strength of your argument.

Once again, EG, you cannot see the point. No "race card" was played...it is making a point that if you substitute one group for another, it points out how absurd the original remark was. So before you go shouting "racism", know this... I would easily vote for an African-American OR a woman for President.
