Gibbs Takes Off Gloves to Challenge Reporters, Hosts Who Cross Obama

Jim Cramer. Rush Limbaugh. Rick Santelli.

What do they all have in common? Most likely, none of them is getting invited to the White House Christmas party.

All three media personalities have been singled out by President Obama's press shop in the course of less than two weeks. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, in doing so, has shown an unusual willingness to spar with cable and radio hosts who take shots at his boss.

The rebuttals have ranged from playful ribbing to disdainful scolding.

Talk show host Limbaugh has drawn the most ire from the White House. Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel called him out on Sunday for saying he wants Obama to fail, after Obama told Republican lawmakers not to listen to people like Limbaugh several weeks ago.

Gibbs followed up Monday, calling on conservative pundits to challenge Limbaugh on air.

I was ready to post this as well...

Seems like Gibbs gets his panties in an uproar when his boss is called on the carpet by conservatives.

Obama and ilk doesn't like people who disagree with his royal decisions...

figures.. .us conservatives have been saying this now for 2 yrs...

I wonder what they will do now to shut us up?

Anybody who says they want the President to fail in bringing the economy back from the Bush DEPRESSION is saying they want America to fail. Rush is unAmerican interested only in his own self interest.

I hope Obama's efforts to turn us into a socialist state, along with his unrepentant murder of the unborn fail.

I hope the ecomomy survives Obama's anti-capitalistic campaign to destroy everything our forefathers fought for.. a free market society!

But I hope his scare tactics, and his socialism policies fail miserably..

If His plans fail.. our country will thrive.
IF his plans succeed... our country will fall.

Not at all. That's just bad thinking. Wanting an economic program to fail because it is bad economics is entirely different than wanting America to fail.

No one should want this program by Obama to succeed becuase it will result in future spending bills of even more money. They will say "It worked last time, let's try it again."

Spending more money than we have and than we hope to come up with is unAmerican.

I want O'bama to fail in his agenda to establish a Marxist/Socialist Government in this country. The country will succeed only if O'bama fails. That is what Rush said.

If I voted for a man who wanted to establish a Marxist/Socialist government in this country I would not question the patriotism of anyone.

If I voted for a man who supported the continued slaughter of unborn American children, for that matter the unborn children of the world, I would not question the patriotism of anyone.

Frankly it is stupid to talk about a depression. You have no idea what a depression is. But if O'bama continues his current course you will likely find out.

If Obama is needlessly scaring Americans about this recession he's done an excellent job because the whole world believes him. Remember, you're not being paranoid if they are really after you.

OH.. it will get worse...

My children and grandchildren will be paying for the mistake the voters made in 2008... 2004... .2000.... 1996.... 1992..... 1988.... And all the yrs we have voted for congress....

See I am a equal opportunity pessimist!

Seriously... HOW are we going to pay back the money that is being thrown into the black hole... hoping the plan works?

That money has to be paid back...
So look out taxes...
Look out retirement funds....
Look out savings accounts....

If you have money... the Gov. will find a way to get it.

(See... I know how to use scare tactics too... I should be a politician  )

If you want to be honest, this years budget alone had a $1 Trillion deficit. This didn't include the hidden spending like the wars which Bush classified as "emergency". This means government was already spending more than it was taking in. This was while the Republican's were in charge. So how were we going to pay off the debt before Obama was elected?

There was no way we could shield our children and grandchildren from this debt long before Obama came on the scene. The question just makes a good conservative talking point. Strange how they weren't asking that question as they were running up the debt yet all of a sudden it is the most important concern we have.

It's like encouraging the firemen use all the water they can while putting out the fire on your house then start talking water conservation and saving the fish when they start putting out the fire at mines.

How long do you think blaming Bush will work ?

Until Obama's plan has had a chance to take effect. We won't see the tax breaks until April and the money for the infrastructure projects has to trickle down several levels of Government.

However, look at it this way, if you're the captain of a ship that begins to sink. You quit and a new captain takes over the wheel yet the ship is still sinking, wouldn't you still get credit for the sinking ship? What, you gone to blame it on the new captain who took over a ship half sunk?

Funny how so many will cite the trillions of debt we've already have due to the war...... and yet defend the faster accumulating debt for various excuses......... like the falling economy caused by debt!

The economy must not be as bad as everyone thinks; who cares about debt? Just print and borrow, print and borrow....... all the money our government wants! Its for our good!

Hogwash!

We need more people to challenge these and otehr policies and stop the rubber stamping insanity.
