Thank God and the voters of Florida that Mr. Gillum lost the election. I was seriously thinking of moving to Texas if he had won. The Republicans might have lost the house, but the big gun Democrats like Heitcamp, McCaskell, and O'Rourke lost. Of course the Dems now run the house so we will have to wait and see if they will just create mischief for the President or work with him.

Maxine Waters now will have a gavel. Good grief! I will pray for the Republicans on that committee who will have to listen to her every day.

Same here. We live full time in an RV and I was not going to put up with any more taxes, especially one on my income. It would have been very easy to hook up and drive to Texas.

Come on over! I pay no State Income Tax, and my real estate taxes this year are $55. That's for the whole year. (Bear in mine I am over 70 and a Disabled Vet so I get some nice discounts in addition to my homestead exemption.)

There's no state income tax in Florida either. Real Estate taxes depend on where you live. I live in the middle of the orange groves, so they're not too bad. My father lives near West Palm Beach and his taxes are through the roof.

In the Florida governor's race, DeSantis' lead had winnowed to about 38,500 votes on Thursday afternoon, or 0.47 percent of the vote. The state conducts an electronic recount when the margin falls below 0.5 percent.

Broward county is under investigation due to the elections supervisor not allowing proper people in to watch the count and taking so long. There is a law suit and she has been convicted of illegal activity in vote counting already.

Not sure what one has to do to get fired down there in Democrat land.
