Here’s some good news for GMail users. Google Inc, the provider of the free GMail email service, has announced its intention to at least double the storage capacity of the GMail inboxes to coincide with and celebrate GMail's first birthday anniversary, which is tomorrow. So, users of the service will get a massive 2 GB+ capacity as compared to the 1 GB now provided.
A company spokesperson said that further expansions would also happen as quickly as technologically possible. Marissa Mayer, a Director of Consumer Web Products at Google, said, “Our goal is to make sure storage is no longer an issue for Web mail users.”

I have about 50 GMail invites, if anyone that doesn't have an account wants one.
