God and Satan

Likeliest scenario: It isn't expressly stated in scripture and can therefore only be answered by speculation.

 

Satan, as Lucifer, angel of light, attempted to usurp the throne of God! Attempted to become God! Therefore he invited God's wrath upon himself.
Satan then corrupted God's created man through lies and deceipt!

Does God love Satan?

We'll all see!

 

Yet, as the creator of Satan, the omniscient God could not have been surprised by the outcome, yet he created him anyway. This is one of the confounding points of theology.

He will hate Satan forever.

He hated Satan because He decided to hate Satan so when God said everything was very good this would include the hated as they were prepared to do a work that would result in the glory of God being revealed. The chief end of God is to glorify God and to that end all creation has been created.

That is the conclusion I have come to. Lots of opinions, not much Scripture.

At the time of judgment, all who have not met God's requirement for salvation get cast into the lake of fire...whether or not God loves them!

 

God created.... and HE saw that it was Good!

The Arminian God does not "create and then hate" what He creates. God "So LOVED... Yes Really!"

God loved Lucifer and created him "perfect" in all his ways.

But as Wes says - in the end the wicked are tossed into the lake of fire.

And God says HE "weeps" over the loss.

So do we if we are "like God" in any way. For example - what if we had "the mind of Christ" 1Cor 2??

I believe God currently hates Satan as well as the wicked.

Psa 139:21,22 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

It's easy to get caught up in an ecumenical Arminian God who is all love and never hate, but the term 'God is love' only appears in scripture twice while the wrath of God on sin is apparent from cover to cover.

God's wrath may be present throughout the scriptures, but the scripture you quoted is not one of those times. Nor is Psalm 139 God telling us that he hates. No, it is David telling us who he hates.

No wonder you're a Calvinist, being told what to believe by some other man, you cannot keep the players straight even when they tell you who they are.
