Amy: The devils believe IN Jesus, not ON Jesus. We believe IN a lot of things and persons, but to "BELIEVE" on the Lord Jesus as used in this verse means:
to have faith in
to entrust one's spiritual well-being to
commit
put in trust with.
(strongs #4100)
This is not how the devils believe.
No, the devils will not be saved. They already have a place of torment prepared just for them. They also will not believe according to the definition I gave you.Heavenly Pilgrim said:
HP: Is this Scripture I error, or is it proof that the devils will be saved or just have plenty to drink? “He that believeth in me shall never thirst…”

..........BELIEF........ :laugh:Heavenly Pilgrim said:
HP: So are we on or in? When Jesus said that ‘he that believeth in me shall never thirst’, are you now going to assign the same meaning to on as in as far as belief is concerned ,or is Scripture wrong and the in should be on?
Why did not Jesus say that all the commandments can be wrapped up in the commandments you gave? Why did He specifically refer to loving God with all your heart, mind and strength, instead of just stating all you need is belief and loving one another?
If belief to you is the same as loving God, may I ask you what loving God consists of? If you say belief I am going to scream!
1 John 3:11 For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,Heavenly Pilgrim said:Amy: ..........BELIEF........
HP: Now that I have regained my composure and cleared my throat, can I love my neighbor and murder him?
No. Are you going to take me through the 10 commandments?Heavenly Pilgrim said:Amy: If you love your neighbor, you will not murder him.
HP: Isn't this easy? If you love your neighbor will you covet their belongings or their spouse?
Amy: No. Are you going to take me through the 10 commandments?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."Heavenly Pilgrim said:
HP: Are you reading my mind?![]()
Let’s cut to the chase. How many of the 10 comandments will you say you believe you cannot keep and still believe in Christ and love your neighbor as yourself?
What am I avoiding?Heavenly Pilgrim said:Amy: Matthew 22:37 Jesus said to him, "you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."
HP: Now we see how some on this list that are not SDA avoid the questions when they get pointed.![]()
Amy :What am I avoiding?
1 Timothy 4:
3: and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4: For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving
5: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
the problem is, this is talking about the meats "which God has created to be received" and those meats are found in Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14.
Ohhhhhh... I get it, you want me to say we have to keep all of them in order to love God and love my neighbor! That way you can tell me that we don't just have to keep the 2, but the 10! You are very clever! And you would be correct that to break one of the 10 would be out of a lack of love for God or my neighbor, but under the new covenant there is no condemnation BECAUSE Jesus already paid the penalty and took the curse of my lawbreaking.Heavenly Pilgrim said:HP: How many of the 10 comandments will 'YOU' say you believe you cannot keep and still believe in Christ and love your neighbor as yourself?

Now, what were we talking about?![]()

If this is right, then those who depart from the faith will be teaching others that those meats which God has declared are GOOD to eat in Leviticus chapter 11 are actually FORBIDDEN by God to eat! Does that make any sense at all to you?
