My wife Charlotte had her remaining kidney removed yesterday and it was cancerous. The operation was a success with no complications and she is doing fine. Her Pastor and mine were there yesterday for support and prayers and we had a good time of fellowship with others from both churches.

Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. We are now starting a new phase of our lives with the dialysis treatment she will have to undergo. Hopefully it will give her more energy and she can return to being active in her church once again. She really missed that when she was sick... All we can do now is just wait on the Lord! She will be in the hospital for about five to seven days... I know God was in the O.R... Brother Glen [IMG]

Oh Bro. Glen....I am so happy that everything went so well. I wondered if you were going to come back and tell us. I was going to post tonight in concern.

    So happy. Thank you Jesus!

Dialysis can't last forever, Glen. Is she on the list for a transplant? Has screening started?

She has to be cancer free for five years. I don't know of anyone on dialysis or what the effects are or anything. Suppose I will find out soon... This is definately a life change for both of us... This is where real love is tested... All we can do is stand by each other and do the best we can. For better or worse... For richer or poorer... In sickness and in health... Until death us do part. It will be hard at first until we get use to the routine and go from there. We have each other and our faith... we lack nothing!... You lack a kidney, my friend.

Please find out if they will simply refuse to operate for five years to give her a new kidney or if they refuse to put her on a waiting list for one for five years. If the first, then I don't know what to do. If the second, then let's start screening you and me and maybe some others who are potential live donors, OK? We don't need a waiting list for that.

    God bless.

    Helen
