Without a doubt we as God's caretakers of this planet need to do a better job of treating it better than what we are. Perhaps global warming is apart of a cycle maybe not but we do not need to add to the woes of this earth by indiscriminately misusing it or polluting it.:Fish:

Another point, we got so much snow this year, it ended a seven year drought.

I know global warming can mean it gets colder is some places, more snow & rain & others, less snow & hotter temps elsewhere. Kinda hard to debate with that. Everything means global warming. God lied when he said he'd meet our needs. we're all doomed.

But if global warming means I get more snow every year, please keep drivin' them Hummers.:thumbs:

There's no question now abouit global warming. It's happening. The question is "how much of it is our fault?"

Apparently, a lot. It's tightly correlated with the increase in CO2 since the Industrial Revolution. Correlation does not necessarily establish causation, but if not, it's a remarkable and persistant coincidence.

As far as getting 100% of scientists to agree on everything, that's not going to happen on anything.

So, I guess we are to adjust our lifestyle, regardless of a unified opinion ? What are Tom Brokaw's weather forecasting credentials ? Why is his opinion worth more than the real scientists who say global warming is baloney ?

 

I was reading in the commentaries of Matthew Henry as he talks of the desolation of the land in refrence to the scriptures found in Isaiah 24 .

All whose treasures and happiness are laid up on earth, will soon be brought to want and misery. It is good to apply to ourselves what the Scripture says of the vanity and vexation of spirit which attend all things here below. Sin has turned the earth upside down; the earth is become quite different to man, from what it was when God first made it to be his habitation. It is, at the best, like a flower, which withers in the hands of those that please themselves with it, and lay it in their bosoms. The world we live in is a world of disappointment, a vale of tears; the children of men in it are but of few days, and full of trouble, See the power of God's curse, how it makes all empty, and lays waste all ranks and conditions. Sin brings these calamities upon the earth; it is polluted by the sins of men, therefore it is made desolate by God's judgments.

So I do beleive that global warming whether you argue science or or not is in some way a reality brought on by mans sin when he chooses to pollute the earth.

 

And I fear we will face greater judgement for things like winking at homosexuality, advocating abortion, watching while Israel fights for her life, & letting murderers walk, than we will for populating the earth.
