God's hand in WW2 and later wars

The hand of God is very evident in WW2. It was first applied at Dunkirk. To this day, we don't know exactly who stopped the nazis from taking that port & thus forcing the BEF to surrender. That woulda greatly weakened British morale & maybe caused them to leave the war.

Next was the nazi high command's decision to not commit more resources to Rommel's units in Africa, where they could've easily captured the Suez canal & cut off much of Britain's supply line. Then came their decision to not fortify Malta to prevent its recapture by the Allies. Contrary to popular belief, Hitler was not wholly responsible for those decisions. But Hitler WAS responsible for not following through with an all-out attack upon Britain ASAP after France fell.

In the Pacific, the battle of Midway was clearly influenced by God. The Japanese had almost all the adnantages: vastly more ships, & vastly more aircraft, superior to ours, all with highly-skilled, experienced pilots. Their ships' crews were much-more-efficient and experienced than ours, as well. they were able to launch a carrier plane attack much-faster than we could.

Our only advantage, which turned out to be crucial, was that our cryptanalysis team at Pearl Harbor had been able to partially crack the Japanese naval codes and deduce their intended target was Midway. But it took an act of God's for a couple of flights of our dive bombers to catch the enemy carriers at their most-vulnerable, with many parked aircraft on their decks, av fuel trucks & unstowed bombs lying about, & their air cover at low altitude defending against our torpedo planes.

However, another act of God's caused that battle to occur in the first place! that act was His hand in making the Doolittle raid of April 1942 a success. That raid enraged & embarrassed the Japanese high command so that they lost focus and concentrated on trying to lure the American carriers into a fight where they could destroy them. Thus,they backed Yamamoto's Midway plan, while being lax in fortifying many of their island bases or concentrating their fleet for an overwhelming attack.

Even after Midway, Japan still had a much-superior navy, but they'd lost much of their offensive punch, & so waited for the Allies to make the next move. We know the rest.

That brings us to Operation Iraqui Freedom. After Desert Storm, rumors persisted that Saddam Hussein had WMDs in abundance & was preparing to use them against Israel & other nations. Hussein became uncooperative about inspections of suspected WMD sites. No one can put a finger on what exactly touched off the attack, but I believe I know. IT WAS THE FACT THAT SADDAM WAS TRYING TO REBUILD THE CITY OF BABYLON! He had spent some $5 million having a palace built over ancient Babylon's ruins, a palace he intended to move into & rule Iraq from. He declared himself an ancestor of Nebuchadnezzar's, & had his own name inscribed on many of the palace's bricks.

Remember, Scripture says that Babylon would never be inhabited again, once it was abandoned. Thus, I believe God caused the war to erupt before Saddam could move into his new digs. And it was not by accident that US artillery units used that palace & other of Saddam's nearby buildings for artillery practice til there was nothing but rubble left. And it's not by chance that Saddam & his sone Udai & Qusai, & Udai's 14-yr-old son were all killed. (His former wife & daughters are not considered criminals by either the US or the Iraquis.)
