As I ready to go hit the streets some of my gospel tracts say "God Loves You" and aimed at the humble, however I usually give them out to everyone. The most popular verse is John 3:16, and as John C can testify Will Metzger whom wrote the best book on evangelism from a Calvinist/Reformed POV does advocate balancing out the message with one of God's love. Unfortunately this is not what is taught in the Way of the Master evangelism philosophy which is just only law and almost never about God's love. This may be one of two points where I disagree with WOTM, the other being that the law is the only way to witness. While it is not the only way, it is the best way in my POV.
The hyper Calvinists say that God only loves the elect and hates the reprobate. The psalms testify that God does hate the wicked, however he hates what they have become. The Biblical Calvinist does recognize that God does love sinners, however He has a special love for the elect, but none the less he does indeed love the world (John 3:16). So what say you of God's love? Its a complex subject.
