gramattical - historical method, help

I have to write a paper on the grammatical - historical method and objectivity in meaning. Can any of you scholars out there recommend a good text for me? This is in the field of hermeneutics.

Thanks in advance.

Ed, I'm married to a former English teacher. I have my own personal language cop especially in the area of proper usage. Now, I see one has emerged on the BB.

My alter-ego, Language Cop, has been on the BB for about 2 1/2 years or as long as I have. I was dubbed this several years before I came on the BB. I have (officially) about 6500 posts (Two to three hundred have also been 'chopped' in a previous reformatting of the BB and the deleting of entire 'games' threads, as well.)? How did you manage to miss seeing Ol' 'L.C., in all that time'??

Ask your spouse about when to use a singular they.
