I posted this on another thread, but thought it warranted additional discussion/refinement.

Many heresies have resulted from the misunderstanding of this relationship - it is crucial to note that the exact innerworkings of this relationship is a mystery, but the I believe principles outlined are Scriptural and orthodox.

What do you think?

Looks like the "is not" applies.
Neat illustration.
If so, then the diagram indicates that the Father has no relationship with humankind ("Man"). And I strongly disagree with that proposition.

Apparently you misunderstand.
Not that He doesn't have a relationship with men, but that God, the Father, is not a man.

Okay, I wasn't clear... God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) created humankind (male and female) in His Image.

The diagram does not represent that relationship although it points out that the Spirit indwells some of humankind and the Son became part of humankind.

The illustration makes me think of basic algebra, when you solve for the unknown. In algebra, "is" is the same thing as saying "equals." Thus x is 3, or x=3.

The reason I point this out is the line that goes from God to Christ, that is, God is Christ, or God=Christ. Then a line points from Christ to man, that is, Christ is man, or Christ=Man.

Then, solving like an algebra problem:

God=The Son=Man

God=Man

Doesn't quite work, does it?

If the "Son" is "MAN," then the Holy Spirit is always in that "MAN." Perhaps another line between the Son and a different MAN circle with "is not" between and "sometimes" between the Holy Spirit and that MAN circle.
