This idea of evangelism is so simple ... and it's free! (like it already, don't ya?) [IMG]

I just got finished doing my "August batch", and it reminded me to tell y'all about it ...

When you get all that junk mail, don't throw it away. Open it and take out any "postage paid" envelopes that might be in there.

Drop in a tract ... and mail the envelope back. I save the envelopes for a month, then on the last day of the month, I stuff 'em with tracts and mail 'em back.

No postage, only a minute of time ... and only GOD knows who will be opening that return envelope!

Good idea, except the person you send the envelope to has to pay postage on the other end. So, instead of receiving the tracts in the spirit you send them, it might make them mad they had to spend their money on postage to get back something that they didn't intend on receiving for their postage money.

A better idea that could not be construed as cheating then, would be to paste your own first class stamp over their return postage image. Then you have a better chance of getting the tracts read instead of them going angrily into the trash can. ;)

Well, like I said, only GOD knows who will be opening that envelope ... if someone wants to take the attitude that they're being cheated, that's their problem. I don't consider telling someone about salvation as "cheating" them.

Yes, they may angrily throw it in the wastebasket, but then again, it's their problem. I've done my duty by getting the word TO them.

I don't have the money to be putting stamps on these envelopes. This is just MY way of being able to spread the word. If the Lord wants to reach someone, I'm sure He's capable of getting it to the right person in that organization.

If this idea only gets ONE person to turn to the Lord, it was well worth all the ones that went into the wastebasket.

Usually the junk mail is sent by some pretty big businesses. The company that pays for it, sad to say, doesn't have the same objectives with their money, as the employee hired to open the mail. You never know what state of mind that person is in or how much they really need to read those words in that tract.

I have to agree with Grammy. I have never done this. Think I'll pass the idea on to my kids. [IMG]
