The Greek Myth of Cadmus (and his daughter Europa) who founded a colony in Greece called Thebes overlaps with the Bible.

The Semitic word "Kadmon" means "East" (Strong's H6931), with the sense of "rising morning sun".

The Semitic word "Erebu" or "Arabu" means "West" (Strong's H6150), with the sense of "evening setting sun".

In the Greek Myth, Cadmus (Kadmon) comes from Agen (Canaan). Zeus (ie, the Greeks) takes his daughter Europa (Erebu), and today we call ourselves Europeans (as well as "Westerners"). This is clearly a tale of colonialists coming from the East (Canaan), where the sun rises, and settling in the West (Greece), where the sun sets. The words "Kadmon" and "Erebu" are the exact Semitic equivalents of "Orient" and "Occident", or "East" and "West". (Asians are "Orientals" because they come from the "Orient" where the Sun "originates".)

And, indeed, the OT itself says that one of the tribes of Canaan was the Kadmonites (Gen 15:19).

So, this is a case where Greek mythology agrees perfectly with the OT, like the Greek Iapetos = Hebrew Japheth (son of Noah).

All across Europe you see this Arabu root. Linguistically, L and R are such similar sounds that they often interchange. And so are B and P.

So, in Europe, you have Albania, the Alps, the island of Elba, and the ancient name of Britain, Albion — to name a few.

I think you are streeeeeeeeeeetching it a bit to claim Greek mythology agrees perfectly with the O.T. from what you have posted.

The only thing you have shown is a possible connection between the languages of different people groups within the same geographic location.

    peace to you:praying:
