Hello Baptist Friends!

I'm brand new here at the Baptist Board. I live in the Bible Belt in Enid, Oklahoma, where 1 out of every 4 people professes to be a Baptist (I wonder what would happen if we all lived out our professsion?!).

I'm an ordained Independent Baptist preacher (20 years in March) and church planter. For my "tent sewing" jobs right now I work in building maintenance at a Methodist Church and I have a small book business (more like a hobby). I'm married with two grown sons and two grandsons. My youngest son is a sophomore at Oklahoma State Univesity. Go Pokes! :laugh:

Howdy! Welcome to the BB. Good to have another Okie around. You will find ther are quite a few okf us Independent Baptists around, as well as every other stripe you ever heard of, and some you may never have heard of. Makes for some very interesting conversations.

This time around I've been here 3+ years. I grew up around here, though. My family has lived in Northwest Oklahoma for generations. I was saved here in Enid in 1969. My Dad worked at Vance Air Force Base in the 60s.
