Maryland: Cops Shoot Man to Death In His Home For Resisting Gun Confiscation

Police in the Democrat haven of Maryland shot and killed a man in his home on Monday while serving a "protective order" under a new law which allows them to seize people's guns without due process.

The victim had broken no laws.
The man broke several laws, including attempting to forcefully take a loaded handgun from a police officer which resulted in that handgun discharging, putting the lives of the officers in immediate danger.

The police didn't just show up for no reason. There was an order of protection issued by a judge, which the police were serving the man.

This is the wrong case to make a 2nd amendment stand on.

Clearly justified.

When was his hearing to determine if he was dangerous?

This is just the beginning.

There will be more. Americans are serious about their constitutional rights. When the government removes them without due process, people are going to resist.

Next time, it may be the law enforcement officers enforcing an unconstitutional gun grab.

This is serious business.

Due process? The police acted within the law. If you don't like the law, you go to court and challenge the law. You elect politicians that support your position and change the law. Most Americans want law and order.

If 2nd amendment supporters, and I am one, try to use this incident to gather support against confiscating guns from people awaiting court dates for domestic violence, they will lose support among most Americans.

This man proved himself to be irrational and violent.

Due process? The guy was 60. There’s a family argument the night before over how to care for an elder relative....his sister calls the cops to red flag him....he probably doesn’t even know.......& the cops show up at 5 in the morning to confiscate? That’s due process? I don’t know how you would react, but at my house, it may have gone down similar to this. This ridiculous new policy went into effect on Oct 1, & the cops have done three a day of these invasions since. Just take all the guns from professed liberals, they shouldn’t mind, & then the problems will likely be solved. 5 in the morning, are you f’ing kidding me? Give libs an inch & they’ll take a mile & keep running. Do not go gentle into that good night..........but it looks like you already have.

Due process? .

Yes. Due process. sounds like you have no idea what it is. It's Violation of his 4th amendment rights against unlawful seizure without a hearing.

Now to the question you avoided.

When was his hearing to determine if he was dangerous before taking away his constitutional right to own firearms?

I don't really expect you to answer. Constitutionally, you have taken an untenable stance.

This is how it begins, take a borderline case and make it the "norm".

Later the "norm" goalposts will be quietly moved to the left until the 2nd amendment disappears from the "living and breathing" Bill of Rights.

This case isn't even close to "borderline". It was clearly an egregious abuse of government authority and a clear violation of the Constitutional rights of the victim...and now he's dead.

It was "borderline" because he resisted.

The progressive liberals are very patient awaiting situations that are borderline and publicizing it with the colluding leftist press so that they can move forward with their agenda no matter how small.

Actually as Christians we should expect the agenda of death (abortion, euthanasia and eugenics) to continuously advance as the Day of the LORD draws closer.

Debatable.

Not to me.

If someone would like to post information on the hearing he attended to determine if he was dangerous before issuing the order to confiscate his legally owned firearms, I'll be glad to change my mind.

Look carpro, I am NOT agreeing with what was done but giving everyone the disguised marxist explanation of what was done.

I consider this incident no less than state sanctioned murder of a citizen who had broken no laws.

The real problem is that, if this activity isn't stopped, there will be more killings. And they won't all be the innocent victims whose home is illegally invaded by authorities.

Remember "eugenics" coming soon to your neighborhood - the scientific removal of the unwanted (a first cousin of abortion).

Also "Death with Dignity-Assisted 'suicide'"

No due process is given to gun owners, so just hand in your weapon and we will talk about it later. All these type of gun laws are just another way to infringe upon your 2nd Amendment rights placed into law by the Democrats.
