    Our senior pastor will be celebrating 40 years at Northport Baptist Church this Sunday! It's actually the exact date of his first Sunday with us! I can't believe he's been here that long! We've got a wonderful catered dinner for him Saturday night and some great things for Sunday morning. He's a wonderful pastor and leader and I'm so grateful for him and his ministry.

    What a blessing that must be! To have the same pastor at the church for all these years is an example of God's mercy and grace to both the pastor and the church.

    We had a wonderful 40th anniversary party for Pastor and his wife and I think everyone there was blessed. We had skits, some "roasting" and some tears. Tomorrow is Pastor's sermon titled "Where do we go from here?" and I KNOW he's not planning to retire any time soon. :) He said he has a few surprises though - will be interesting to see what they are!
