    34 years and counting. Valentine's horror story. About 20 years ago I bought madre a solid, one pound Hershey Kiss. Chocolate is always the perfect gift. I got a nice card to go with it and we found a few minutes to be alone and I gave her the gift. She opened the card and gushed appropriately. Next came the giant block of chocolate. She opened it and stared at the package for a minute with tears streaming down her cheeks. I'm thinking I've finally knocked one out of the park.

    Suddenly she stood up, slammed the Kiss on the dresser and shouts, "Don't you think I'm fat enough?!" and storms out of the room. :tonofbricks:

    I didn't get it then and still don't. Card and chocolate. Where did I go wrong? This year I got her roses. Lots of roses. I haven't seen her yet so she'll probably throw them at me and ask if I was planning a funeral.

    Thanks for the laughs. Mrs.prophet has a birthday, today, so it's a holiday at my house. 7 daughters and a b.day wife...I just hope to survive every year...:beer:
