Marcia, I'm part of an organic house church, and the beautiful thing is that because our offerings don't have to go to support buildings and salaries, 100% of our giving can go for spreading the gospel and also supporting those in need within the Body of Christ.

Where is the accountability?

Viola's new book "Reimagining Church" addresses the issue of accountability in detail.

Also, you might want to check out a response to Ben W's critique at
http://www.paganchristianity.org/zensresponds1.htm. Very good points made here by another scholar.

Thanks for the info.

Our church supports over 50 missionaries around the world. This does not include ministries such as pregnancy centers. Do you support a missionary here or abroad? More than one?
