I certainly hope so. I hope the Yankees never win another game.

The New York Yankees organisation should....

    ....HANG THEIR HEADS IN SHAME....

...for leaving the most historic and "hallowed" baseball stadium in the history of baseball. Ruth, Dimaggio, Gherig, Mantle, Ford, Jackson, Billy Martin, etc etc etc etc.

The NY metro area has been shamed in the past...letting the Dodgers and Giants leave NY for the "land of fruits and nuts"...but nothing like this.

And I've heard the new stadium looks very similar to the Chicago White Sox stadium.

Congratulations, NY....you have re-invented the "cookie cutter" concept for baseball stadiums.

i think it's pretty ridiculous to spend $50K to tear up the foundation to find a stupid shirt. It's good to know that the Yankees place that much assurance in their over paid talent.

What happens to the intelligence of sports fans, as well as to the scriptural adherance (I Timothy 4) of Christian sports fans, when stupidity like this comes up?

Yes. It's going to be filled with obnoxious Yankee fans. If that's not a curse, I don't know what is.

I just think it's funny that when they were lobbying the city and state for money for the new stadium, their rationale was that the stadium was in a terrible neighborhood and fans didn't feel safe going there any more.

So where did they build the new stadium? Right behind the old one!

If they really wanted to curse the Yankees, they would have hidden an Atlanta Braves jersey.

Then, they could go to the World series every year, and lose every time....
