Have the Dems overlooked the Bern?

Sanders is slowly but surely moving closer to the Clinton machine. No one thought it possible, but there He is inching closer to her in NY. The truth is, she could lose.

Do you think the Bern has a chance? Could the DNC have a contested convention to? And if the Bern were ti miraculously win, could and would he make a good president?

I have to.ask, what is wrong with America when a cranky old man, a commie no less, could even become president? Will America survive these days of changes in values, morals, standards, ethics, traditions, etc.

The Dem's have been cultivating their voters for years - and then disappointing them (just like the Repubs);
...but there are so many more Bern victims now.

I would trust his character more than any other leading candidate. I doubt he would be a terribly effective President, but he would be better than anyone else who is poised for the role.

I think all of the candidates are cranky, and three of the four of the top contenders are men, so I don't know why that is more telling than anything else. Moreover, he is a Democratic Socialist, not a "commie."

America has created a culture that does not create an environment where honest and capable people want to seek the office of President. Unfortunately, we're getting the candidates we deserve.

Can Sanders win New York? No. But he will make it interesting and he will win a bunch of delegates. I think it will play out Hillary 50%, Sanders 46%.

Can Sanders win the presidency?
Yes, if Trump is the nominee.
No, if Cruz or Kasich is the nominee.

Could the DNC have a contested convention to?

I think they are headed to a contested convention. Just like in 2008, when Obama started upsetting Hillary in the primaries, when Obama started attracting millions of new voters, so shall Sanders. The DNC will have to admit that Sanders would be better for the Dems up and down the ballot box, in statewide and local voting, and they very well might turn to him.

And if the Bern were ti miraculously win, could and would he make a good president?

No, because he won't be able to implement any of his radical ideas. He'd be like a placeholder President.

Bernie Sanders can go have a seat in the grouchy, old man corner. He will not be the Democrat nominee. He would have to substantially win in the more diverse states with more delegates to have a shot. His strong suit is states with an overwhelming majority white vote.

Hillary has already mathematically punched his clock. She knows it and he knows it. He's just a cantankerous old man with no real solutions who grows nastier every day. He's not even a Democrat and has simply grown fond of the spotlight.

He's halving delegates with her. And that's more than enough for her to get the six hundred or so delegates she needs to clinch the nomination.

If Sanders wins, any Republican nominee is handed the election.

Precisely. The DNC wants a Democrat President to name the next few SCOTUS justices. They understand that if they nominate a socialist who is just masquerading as a Democrat because he thought that was his best chance of being heard, that the GOP base will come out like crazy to make sure it doesn't happen.

The DEM Tyrannosaurus Politicus will not let Bernie win even if he gets 100% of the popular vote.

The Super delegates will gobble him up.

The queen must reign supreme.

An added thought...

It is now desperation which drives the DNC to give the world the first woman as president of the United States of America.

My opinion of course.
