IMHO opinion I have had it up to here with these dozens of threads on the Sabbath - most - if not all- are started by a Seventh Day adventist.

Have you had enough?

Do you consider this rash of threads to be troll driven?

What can be done - I know of at least three thing
1) put the OP on "ignore"
2) do not respond to any of the threads
3) request the OP be banned

Mind you - I am all for a good discussion on Bible topics- but usually must run their course. This has not - and I don't see any end in sight.

Given that SDA preach a false gospel - I don't understand why he is allowed on the board.

Here's the reply I received from a moderator about BR.

Concerning Bob Ryan,
He has been a member of the board since 2002. Normally he doesn't bring his SDA beliefs to foreground, unless challenged by other posters. When they are challenged he always answers with Scripture, not with the writings of the Great Controversy or Ellen G. White. He has never tried to convert anyone to his faith. In fact he has said that he has attended a Baptist church many times. He believes in sola scriptura which is a very important Baptist doctrine.

There are still Catholics on this board. They still defend their doctrine with their Catechism, the pope, and the ECF. They are unable to do so with the Word of God. Such are not totally gone; they are just not admitted any longer, just as SDA's are not admitted.

When Bob Ryan was first admitted it was not known that he was SDA. In fact no one knew until more than a year after. He never posted anything about SDA doctrine.

Thanks for showing your true colors Rev. You'd rather have more threads by a guy who preaches salvation by works than salvation by grace. I do appreciate the fact you're honest about it.

Well as usual a cal creates a strawman so he has something to actually knock down. And then tops it off with a childish attitude. The above post is a prime example of why threads go so poorly.

In a msg, a moderator said " When they are challenged he always answers "

Lets get the facts straight - Ryan is not challenged with questions - rather he starst them.

In addition, with the number of threads, IMHO, he is trying to convert.....

Just checked out your profile.

Sounds real adult to me. Bet you have a lot of native americans that feel right at home. I bet the photos are stock and not of the congregation either.
I like your ministries link too. Donate...

it is a blessing to see that there are those on this board that are paying attention to details.

Thank you for setting the record straight.

in Christ,

Bob

One detail you did miss in that history of my posts in 2002 - is that at the time that I joined this board there were about 4 other SDA members already posting here. One by one they were selected out and banned because when they made their response to Bible arguments - they quoted from SDA texts - where as I quote from the Bible or Baptist texts that would be known to Baptists in general. (even my more recent posts of certain documents from Baptist history was first referenced here and introduced to me by a Baptist member of this board)

( Just so no one takes offense --.When I say this is a BaptistBoard I don't mean that all baptists on the planet would agree with every idea promoted by the owner or the moderators. But certainly we cannot call it an "Adventist Board" or a "Catholic Board" - I think all can agree on this tiny point.)

Yet you will take a single written statement written by a single individual Baptist and then attempt to position it as doctrine for all Baptists.

Here is where you now pretend not to know what I am talking about and say that I am quoting myself.

No one claiming he is a Christian can avoid being confronted with the awe-inspiring TRUTH of the Sabbath OF THE LORD GOD, as long as it is IN THE SCRIPTURES.

You may reject the Old Testament but still be confronted with GOD'S Sabbath Day in the NEW Testament.

You may reject Paul but still be confronted with GOD'S Sabbath Day in the Gospels.

You may reject the Sabbath in the Law in the Gospels but still be confronted with GOD’S Sabbath in the Suffering of the Passover of Yahweh WHICH IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.

Turn wherever you want, you won't get away from the CHRISTIAN SABBATH UNDER GOD’S GRACE—

—as you won't get away from the FACT JESUS CHRIST ROSE FROM THE DEAD ON THE SABBATH DAY ...

... except you CORRUPT THE SCRIPTURES in exactly the fashion contemporary quasi learned men are attempting …

… but all they avail is to EXPOSE their own ineptness and falsehood and OBVIATE indubitable TRUTH.

For anyone's attention who might care ... I have seen the death of more than one discussion forum which attempted murder on the subject of the Sabbath.

What a joke! This sounds like a threat! Well, I am certainly open to that challenge as I have no problem openly denying and defying the Saturday Sabbath heresy along with the "mark" of beast interpretative heresy.
