He has turn his face from me

I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of the LORD’s wrath.
2 He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light;
3 indeed, he has turned his hand against me again and again, all day long.
4 He has made my skin and my flesh grow old and has broken my bones.
5 He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
6 He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.
7 He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains.
8 Even when I call out or cry for help, he shuts out my prayer.
9 He has barred my way with blocks of stone; he has made my paths crooked.
10 Like a bear lying in wait, like a lion in hiding,
11 he dragged me from the path and mangled me and left me without help.
12 He drew his bow and made me the target for his arrows.
13 He pierced my heart with arrows from his quiver.
14 I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long.
15 He has filled me with bitter herbs and given me gall to drink.
16 He has broken my teeth with gravel; he has trampled me in the dust.
17 I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18 So I say, “My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD.

Job 38
Where were you when I Iaid the foundations of the earth?” (38:4). “Have you ever in your days commanded the morning light?” (38:12). “Where does light live, or where does darkness reside?” (38:19). “Can you lead out a constellation in its season?” (38:32).

I cannot understand the horror you are going through now but I've seen with my own eyes the devastation in another country in another time... I weep because you weep and was also in harms way but because the grace of God, I was delivered from the horror there to the horror here... I was ostracized and so were my brother in arms, sent from our country to do a job we were sent to do... Some of us were actually homeless, in a land that was our home... I too have wept bitter tears... I too wondered why God?... Why out of persecution do things grow?... What benefit is my suffering now?... Who's watching?... What purpose does it serve?... I like this comment a preacher made one time and have thought about it often, the sermon you walk maybe the Bible anyone ever sees... Brother Glen:)

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I don’t think He has turned his face from you… I think he is sharpening you. We all carry crosses and yours is particularly difficult but you are alive and breathing and every day is a blessing though your not knowing it right now. My prayers are with you.

maybe reach out to these guys

Changing how we talk to ourselves is vitally important. I have exhorted myself many times in times of trouble with these verses:

Psalm 42:11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

May God pour out His grace on you.
