I'm in middle Eastern Texas, 2-1/2 to 3 hours north of Houston -- depending on where you start in Houston, and don't get stuff in traffic!

Oh yes! I am near Houston (but closer to Beaumont) so I know exactly what you mean.
Every time I have to go to Houston or through Houston, I grit my teeth the whole way.
