Welcome to the fellowship brother, looking forward to getting to know you in Christ.

It's wonderful that I have a chance to share and receive from you here on the internet on a forum like this because I can't sign and because of that I might not be able to do so (as I would like to) outside of a place like this, so I'm glad your here! [IMG]

Hi Ormond! I sign ASL and understand deaf English. Welcome to Baptist Board and God bless you!

If you not understand any post, email me and I will type post into ASL English so you can sign yourself for understanding.

Hi Ormond! I am a Christian (Hearing) I have to Deaf friends! I sign both ASL & English.

(Please don't get offended by my questions, I am curious).

    I have 3 questions:

    1. Would you understand tty abbreviations if I used them in my posts?

    2. Do you have AOL Instant Messenger?

    3. Please translate this song to ASL for me:

I Could Sing of Your Love Forever
    written by Martin Smith
Over the mountains and the sea
Your river runs with love for me
And I will open up my heart
And let the healer set me free
I'm happy to be in the truth
And I will daily lift my hands
For I will always sing Of when your love came down

I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever
I could sing of your love forever

    Oh I feel like dancing
    It's foolishness I know
But when the world has seen the light
    They will dance with joy
    Like we're dancing now

    Thanks!

    T. J. (Pearl)

Ormond I have a Deaf son who is 21 years old and use to go to church. He goes with my wife sometimes but I would sure appreciate him going to a Deaf church near us. We live in Lakeside about ten miles from Doc Cas. Vista is quite a way to travel and my wife and I each have our own church... Neither services sign.

He works and sits around the house all weekend with bowling on Saturday but all his Sundays are open. I would search for a church but don't know where to start and would like him to go to a Baptist Church. He used to go to Lighthouse Baptist but then they moved and never contacted him again. Once we find one I know he would fit right in but we are looking for one that has a Deaf congregation... Not one that just serves the Deaf... I'm very familiar with sign and deaf culture so you know where I am coming from!... His sister is hearing-impaired and 24 so this is our life... both have the condition at birth!... Feel free to email me in private if you wish!... Brother Glen [IMG]
