Hi, I'm new to the board, and new to the Baptist Church!
Happily married, 3 children and 2 dogs.
I hadn't realised that I had turned away from God, I just thought I was out there doing it "My Way" living life as I saw fit, raising a family, working hard and living a life I thought was OK.
Then one day, it was as if a light was switched on, and I could see. I had tried to "go it alone", and it was all going horribly wrong.
With this new "illumination" I could see that the Lord Jesus Christ had been working in my life all along, and I had just been blinded to his wondrous light.
I regret all the years I have wasted not in praise of Jesus.
I now know that the Lord Jesus Christ is my saviour, and the way, the truth and the light.
I am hoping to be baptised soon, and I ask that you pray that I keep learning more and more.
I've been reading the board today, and you all seem a great lot to discuss and answer the million ++++ questions I may have - I hope so.
