    I don't know what I've changed on here, but all my sentences run together and I cannot use the bold, underline, italic, quote, quick reply or smilies.What did I do wrong and how can I fix it???

    Question: When you do a reply, scroll all the way down to the bottom (of the entire window, not just the area for the message).

    At the bottom should be a box on the left, titled "Posting Rules"; is vB code "On"? How about HTML code? Is it on or off?

    Is the message box, where you type your response, blue or white?

    Neither of those may point to a definitive answer; just gathering information. You might need to direct this to the Board owner.

    I can't seem to re-create your problem.

    Try writing a sentence; hit Enter twice to go down two lines, and write another sentence. If that still shows up as running into each other, rather than the blank line between them, there's something about the Board is parsing your messages.

    Might be as simple as going to a different web site, clearing out all your cookies and history, then coming back here. (make sure you remember your log-on password)

    Then again, it may be something about your computer itself, which would require you trying to remember all the things you've done on it since the last time you came to the Baptist Board, until the time you came on and found you had the problem.

    What would that have to do with not being able to do the other things?

    I can't even see the smilies now.

    I skipped two lines between these sentences.

    But, if you only hit Enter 1 time, you'll have the same problem.

    I'd try clearing out your cookies; and if that doesn't help, I bow to the board administrator to try to figure out why your settings are weird.

    I asked Andrew and his wife, Debbie (who is supposed to take care of things since Andrew doesn't have time to be here) three days ago, but I haven't heard back from either of them.

    I can't do most of my mod jobs until this gets fixed. Makes it rather hard...

    I also put a post in the technical forum, but no results there either.

    Have you tried USER CP > Edit Options then scroll down to Miscellaneous Options, and see what you have set for Message Editor Interface in the drop down box?

    I set mine to Basic, and I have just a white box, no formatting, along with smilies at the bottom for Post Icons.

    I had mine set to basic.

    I just changed mine to the next one and I have the smilies back where I can see them, but still can't use them, or any of the things at the top of the post.

    I can't use 'quick reply' or edit either. I must have something set wrong, but I've checked everything several times and am totally at a loss!

    I am using IE 6 and am having no problems except on the BB.

    I must have done something, but I sure can't figure out what it was!

    One day it was working and the next day it wasn't...

    Well, I'm embarrassed to say that my problem was fixed by deleting cookies and temp files. :eek:

    I guess I didn't think to do that because I had just done it plus defragged about 5 days ago and was then gone for 2 days. I guess they pile up quicker than I realized. :BangHead:

    Thank you for all your help and especially Don who reminded me to do the obvious... :laugh:
