Yes, I believe all the promises! Why wouldn't I?
As I said, some scriptures are for teaching! Yes, God can show His glory and power if He wants to, anywhere and anytime He wants. To whom ever He wants. Even the nay sayers.
Shadrach, Maschach, and Abednego survived the fiery furnace, and I could too if God wanted me to!!
Joshua marched around Jericho and shouted and the walls fell down flat, and it could happen today if God wanted it too.
Moses once let the earth swallow up 20,000 people because they were committing sin in the camp, and God could do that again too if He wanted.
I think one of the problems is that it has been so long since some of you have seen a move of God, that you don't believe it could happen anymore.
What is it you believe in? Is it some words in a book? Or is the God that wrote that book?
Quote:
There are many many verses in the Bible that do not apply to us Christians in the year 2006. God has always dealt with His people in the way he chooses. Lets look at the book Lev. and all the laws. Stoned anybody lately? Killed any Witches? How about killing your disrespectful children? Then we have the 70 that Jesus sent out to do a specific job at a specific time. Do we all have the "power" they did? Of course not. No, the Bible is God's Word to us but we need realize that the message is always for us but the application has varied for believers throughout all of time.
In Christ,
Brian

Did you learn anything when you read those parts of the bible Brian? You should have, because thats what it was put in there for!
God wanted us to know about all the things that are in the bible for a reason.
And there is part of it that is for us today. We can't just choose the parts we like, we must use it as God wants us to use it!
Wake up church! Judgment day is coming and you do not want to be found wanting when you are weighed in the balance!!
There is a time coming on this nation which should bring you to your knees in repentance of not believing in the
POWER of the living God.
Have mercy on them all Lord,
Tam
