Bible Works 4 was delivered to my house today! I'm so excited about my new toy! Does anyone else have this? The manual is almost 300 pages long...yikes! What am I in for? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thats how I did it [IMG]

Then I found that the manual is a goldmine.

BTW, most (if not all) the manual plus other tools can be found on-line by clicking "help".

You have much to learn grashopper... [IMG]

I have a feeling this is gonna be like taking an extra seminary course just to learn how to use it.

I have it and still haven't figured out how to use it all yet. But I get around all right in it. It is very powerful for sure. I am the type to look at the manual only when necessary. When all fails ...

I am planning on purchasing Bibleworks and was wondering if they were coming out with another version soon (because of the recent extended sale), so I sent bibleworks.com an e-mail. I'll just post this here for any one who wants to know (swaimj, they have a 90-day return policy if for any reason you think you should return 4.0, though I don't really know if you should.) Here is a copy of the response I got:
>>>
According to the owner, 5.0 BibleWorks should be available for shipping by end of year 2001. We hope to have it sooner, but software schedules are very difficult.

Prices are not yet determined (but hopefully $299.95 plus shipping and handling for a new single user license; and $125 plus shipping and handling for upgrading from an existing prior version single user license).

Features and contents are not yet determined.
But, as usual, each new version of BibleWorks is like a whole new product; that is: many new major and minor features; many improvements in usability; many new and better quality Bibles and reference works and other databases.

And, our usual policy shall apply: if 5.0 BibleWorks starts shipping within 30-days after your BibleWorks date-of-purchase (of version 4.0 or 3.5 or 4.0 upgrade), then you are protected by our "price difference only" grace period. That is, if you Upgrade to BibleWorks Version 5.0 within that 30-day period, your price is only the difference between the new price and the price you bought at, plus shipping & handling, for the 5.0 BibleWorks CD-ROM and printed manual. For example, if you bought 4.0 BibleWorks at
$250 + s&h on August 31, 2001, and then 5.0 BibleWorks starts shipping on September 21, 2001 and is discount-priced at $299.95 + s&h, then your price for upgrading to 5.0 BibleWorks is only $49.95 + s&h, rather than the presumed normal upgrade price of $125 + s&h.
>>>

Just so you guys will know. Who knows when 5.0 will "really" come out.
