Hey Y'All

I am the husband of one wife and the dad of six children, which we homeschool. Our oldest is fixing to graduate and go off to the university. My wife and I were both saved at an early age and all of our children have done the same, praise God. My wife and I have a business together and we involve the kids to give them some business sense before heading out into the world. We are all very involved in the 4-H program, managing a local club and participating at the county, district, and state level.

Thanks for approving me to join, I'm looking forward to reading through the posts and joining in from time to time.

Welcome Br. Dan. You are a true Southern Gentleman as we are the only ones who can correctly and with dignity use "fixing to".

Thank you for the warm welcome

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I hope this is a place I can fit in and feel at home.

Well, I hadn't thought about "fixing to" as being a dignified expression, nor of myself as being a Southern Gentleman (as in deep-south, society, plantation style). I reckon I'm just a down-to-earth Texican, who wouldn't cotton well to the highfalutin ways of a Southern Gentleman. My family comes from share-choppers and tenant farmers, and we sometimes lack the polish and politeness of the bless-your-heart, well-bred folks. None the less, thank you for the complement anyhow.
